Living Services Program for Elders and Disabled Adults
The Lowell Housing
Authority, in partnership with Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley,
Inc., offers residents a unique umbrella of supportive services intended
to provide a secure, safe, and affordable lifestyle for our residents.
Our goals are to
assist the elderly in maintaining their independence through on-site
integrated individual and group services. These successful programs
get elders out and participating with their peers, helping to reduce
isolation and improve their overall life experiences.

Family Resource Program
The Lowell Housing
Authority, in partnership with Casey Family Services, offers two supervised
on-site drop-in centers that give kids the opportunity to use a computer,
play games, watch videos, draw and get help with their homework.

The Lowell Housing
Authority, in partnership with the City of Lowell Parks and Recreation
Department and The Lowell Boys and Girls Club, offers recreational and
educational activities on a daily basis for all youth who reside in
our developments.
Chaperoned & Supervised Field Trips in Summer and on School Vacations
throughout the year.
(All field trips
are either free or available for a minimal cost)

paid job opportunities for teens to assist in the supervision of youth
activities at our developments, city parks, and schools.
Special
Needs Summer Program
The Special Needs
Program offers swimming, field trips, supervised arts and crafts and
other activities during summer vacation for special needs youth. Four
very qualified, caring and thoughtful individuals assist the program
director in developing a stimulating and educational program for the
youth who attend this program.
Computer
Program Sites
North Common Village
and G.W. Flanagan development offer computer programs. Youth and adults
can enroll in various educational computer learning classes with qualified
on-site instructors. (Beginning computer, GED Programs, Resume Building,
etc.)
