Public Housing Residents

Elder Services

The LHA provides a number of services designed to address the unique needs of elderly residents living in our properties. Our goals are to assist our elderly residents in maintaining their independence through on-site services available daily through the LHA. Additional services are delivered throughout the year by the LHA’s dedicated community partners, including Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley, Community Teamwork, Inc., Merrimack Valley Food Bank, Lowell General Hospital, among others.

Elder Services include:

  • Homemakers
  • Home health aides
  • Senior aides
  • Senior companions
  • Health screenings, blood pressure clinics, exercise programs
  • Holiday parties and events
  • Bus services to shopping centers
  • Community Outings
  • Addiction/smoking cessation programs
