Tanya L. Ford is the Executive Director of the City of Cambridge Election Commission. She began her career in election administration in Long Island, New York in 1999. Since 1999 she advanced her career in municipal government administration as well as holding positions as a social work therapist and assistant director of a domestic violence coalition. In 2010 she moved to Cambridge, MA to accept the appointment as the Executive Director of the Cambridge Election Commission. She holds a Master of Social Work from Adelphi University in New York and a Bachelor of Science Degree from SUNY Old Westbury. Her professional development over the past 25 years includes memberships in the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC), Long Island Village Clerks and Treasurers Association (LIVCTA), the New York Conference of Mayors (NYCOM) and was a Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC).
