Joanie Bernes is the Lowell Housing Authority’s Tenant Representative on the Board of Commissioners. In this role she spearheaded the launch of monthly "Resident Rountables," to foster open communication, collaboration, and mutual understanding between residents, the Board of Commissioners, and the teams responsible for facilities and resident services. Joanie has held various positions throughout her professional career including hospitality, customer service, and a small business owner. Most recently, she volunteers through Community Teamwork, Inc's Senior Companion program.
