History and Background

Incorporated in 1994, the Lowell Youth Activities Program is a non-profit affiliate of the Lowell Housing Authority.

Mission and Values

The Lowell Youth Activities Program's mission is to empower Lowell Housing Authority youth to thrive, by fostering their development through enriching activities, and supporting their educational aspirations with academic scholarships. It values opportunity, empowerment, education, community, growth, support, and inclusivity.

Who We Serve and Our Impact

The Lowell Youth Activities Program serves youth and young adults residing in Lowell Housing Authority properties. On an annual basis, an average of 8 academic scholarships are awarded, offering financial assistance to recipients pursuing an Associate or Bachelor degree, certificate program, or skilled-trade.

Our Team and Funding

The Lowell Youth Activities Program is 100% funded by generous donations of individuals, businesses, and foundations. Its Board of Directors is a collaborative group of volunteers, consisting of Lowell Housing Authority staff members and engaged individuals from the broader Greater Lowell community.
