2025 Lowell Youth Activities Program Scholarship
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicant must be a Lowell Housing Authority Public Housing or Section 8 resident with a high school diploma or high school equivalency.
- Scholarships are open to applicants planning to enroll or currently enrolled at an accredited community college, university, or technical school for the 2025-2026 school year, and pursuing an Associate or Bachelor degree, certificate program, or skilled-trade.
- Previous LYAP scholarship recipients are encouraged to apply again.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- An original LYAP application completed and signed.
- An unofficial school transcript (does not need to be a certified, official document).
- A one page, typed, and double-spaced essay, addressing the following prompt in a minimum of 250 words:
Please explain how your experience living in subsidized housing has shaped your perspective on humanity. Elaborate on how these experiences have influenced your future ambitions and career choice.
All items must be received by Friday, May 30th, at 4p.m.
