As the Deputy Director of the Lowell Housing Authority, Mark Briere is responsible for coordinating high-profile projects and government affairs. He joined the Lowell Housing Authority in 1993 and received several promotions for his dedication, demonstrated competence, and positive impact. His roles have included: Maintenance, Section 8 Administrator, State Property Manager, and now Deputy Director. Mark has served the City of Lowell as a member of the Election Commission and he currently sits on the Zoning Board of Appeals. His community involvement is extensive. Most noteably, Mark has served as the President of the East End Social Club for 32 years and counting. This role has enabled Mark to facilitate countless, large scale fundraising events for charity. Mark also serves as a Board Member for the Lowell Youth Activities Program (LYAP) and he is the Treasurer of Revitalization Effort Toward New Urbansim (RENU), a non-profit striving to enhance and revitalize neighborhoods while promoting economic growth and urbanism.
