LHA’s JobsPLUS Program Joins National Night Out Community Celebration

An initial bout of rain followed by a “soupy” evening did not dampen the spirits of the Lowell Housing Authority’s JobsPLUS program, who represented the Lowell Housing Authority at this year’s National Night Out Community Celebration.

Katie Sadlier, JobsPLUS Director, and her support team, Madeline Colon-Rivera of MassHire Career Center of Lowell, and Kiss Quick, Community Outreach Specialist, greeted program participants and Acre neighbors with smiles. Ice cream also helped sweeten the experience provided courtesy of the Lowell Housing Authority to guests seeking a respite from the heat.

Our dynamic trio was joined by other Lowell community partners who collectively make this free, family-friendly, event possible each year. Partners included the Coalition for a Better Acre, Bike Connector, the Lowell Police Department, MassHire and Neighborhood Works.

We are always grateful to be a part of this fun, community-wide event. Thank you to our JobsPLUS team, including Liliane Kaitare, and Heather Barker, JobsPLUS Case Managers, who, while absent from this event, are an integral part of keeping the time clock ticking within the JobsPLUS Program. A special thanks to all of our partners for another successful night out!
