IFB 2022-15 227 Gorham Street Elevator Replacement

The Lowell Housing Authority and the Board of Commissioners, the Awarding Authority, invite sealed bids from Contractors for the replacement of the elevator at 227 Gorham Street at the South Common Village
for the Lowell Housing Authority in Lowell, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by
TBA Architects, Inc.

The Project consists of: Elevator upgrade, including cables, counterweights, machine, car, cab interior,
and door replacement. Installation of steel access door and hardware to elevator pit.

The work is estimated to cost $866,332.41.

Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 §44A-J and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 §§26 to 27H inclusive, Davis Bacon Wage Determination for Building Construction (MA1), 40 U.S.C.
276, 29 C.F.R. 1.

A Pre-Bid Site Visit shall take place on November 17, 2022 @ 10:00 AM. Interested Contractors shall meet at the 1st floor Community Room at 227 Gorham Street, Lowell, MA 01852.

The IFB is available to download at www.lhma.org/bids as of November 2, 2022. Filed Sub-Bids are due at the Lowell Housing Authority Dept. of Finance & Procurement, Armand P. Mercier Center, 21 Salem Street, Lowell, MA 01854 by 11:00 AM on December 5, 2022 and General Contractor Bids are extended and are due by 11:00 AM on December 14, 2022.
