LHA’s FSS Program Congratulates Two New Graduates!

The Lowell Housing Authority is pleased to announce that we have two more successful graduates of the agency’s Family Self-Sufficiency Program (FSS)!

The Lowell Housing Authority’s Family Self-Sufficiency program is a goal-setting program designed to address barriers to family self-sufficiency. In partnership with the LHA, participants establish goals and along with its vast network of community partners assist families in meeting these goals.  Past participants have gone on to further their education, improve their credit, increase their earnings through job training, or purchase a car or home.

The Lowell Housing Authority’s FSS program serves over 50 program participants on a rolling basis, and is open to residents of the Lowell Housing Authority’s Public Housing and Division of Leased Housing Programs.  Michael and Nadode were joined by their lovely families in our office  to celebrate their achievements last month.

Throughout their time in the program, Nadode and Michael worked diligently to create opportunities for their families, including improving their credit, establishing savings and checking accounts, and shared the ultimate goal of purchasing their own homes. We are thrilled that this is a new reality for both these families. We are so proud of both of them and all that they’ve accomplished. Congratulations Michael and Nadode!
