Lowell Housing Authority staff participated in a Naloxone administration training. This training was coordinated by Paula Gouveia, Resident Health Advisor and conducted by Gianna of Lowell House Addiction and Treatment Center of Lowell and Rhiannon of the Lowell Health Department.
This effort is to ensure that LHA staff are equipped with the tools they need to respond in the event of a crisis, and potentially prevent a fatal overdose. Naloxone boxes will also be installed in and around LHA properties, and accessible to residents and the community who may need to administer this harmless, but life-saving drug.
